Which service do I need for my project?

If you're changing how an existing space works, that's a renovation. If you're adding floor area to the house, that's an extension. If you're adding a separate self-contained dwelling on the same section, that's a granny flat or minor dwelling. If you're starting from nothing, that's a new build. Not sure? Can you combine several services in one project?

Yes, and most of our work is exactly that. A renovation often takes in the kitchen and bathroom, and an extension usually means reworking the rooms it connects to. You get one quote, one timeline and one point of contact rather than separate jobs booked back to back.

Question 3

Do you build granny flats and minor dwellings?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Since 15 January 2026 a self-contained dwelling of up to 70m2 can be built without building consent where the site meets the exemption conditions. We check whether yours qualifies on the first visit, and handle the council notifications either way.

Question 4

Do you manage all the tradespeople?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We coordinate everything, plumbers, electricians and tilers included, so you deal with one person instead of juggling multiple contractors.

Can you help with building consents?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We'll tell you upfront whether your project needs building consent from Auckland Council, prepare and lodge the application, and manage inspections through to code compliance. Consent has a statutory 20-working-day processing clock, which we build into your timeline.

Do you work on older Auckland homes?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Villas, bungalows and post-war brick-and-tile make up a lot of what we do. Older homes throw up more unknowns once the linings come off, which is why we build a contingency into the budget and talk you through anything we find before acting on it.

A free on-site visit. We look at the space, talk through what you want, and come back with an itemised quote and a timeline. No charge, and no obligation to go ahead.
